As you may have read, I am doing my best to kick my cereal habit. This is the only type of food that makes me consider giving up on my clean paleo diet. I have just read too much on how eating and living a paleo/primal lifestyle can have so many positive effects on people overall. It is just hard to avoid the facts.
Anyway, below are a few of my go-to veggies. I have these vegetables for breakfast and dinner. I prefer to snack and drink water or tea throughout between these meals.

Asparagus, Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Lemon Juice, Coconut oil
I like to grill these (if we have time). For breakfast, I usually eat them raw on top of a large salad. I will also include tomatoes or salsa, Cayenne Pepper (I always put too much, and Alex lectures me on how to be more careful. I should really listen!), and Balsamic. For protein, I like tuna and black or kidney beans. Yum yum yum!!
As you can see in the picture, I use lemon juice and coconut oil to lather these veggies. I do this whether we grill them or not. I am obsessed with lemon juice (have been for the majority of my life), and coconut oil is just plain good for you!
All on a large salad, these meals help me feel full longer. I highly recommend this meal for anyone looking to cut out processed foods. It is totally true that your diet makes a difference in not only how you look, but, more importantly, how you feel. So, give it a try, and let us know what you think!
I took the above picture THIS morning after a P90x3 workout. I have totally bought into having a clean/paleo/primal lifestyle.

ReplyDeleteI caught your segment on Full Plate it was very good. To improve yourself and your family's lives even further I would recommend watching the above film by Dr. Campbell, a nutritional scientist at Cornell University for some in-depth healthy food choices, website has some great recipes as well.
